The Sixmilebridge-Kilmurry area Community Games area is NOT the same as the local parish.
The area defined stretches to Oatfield on the Clonlara road, about halfway to Cratloe along the Limerick road, past Minister's Cross in the Shannon direction, and, as the area name suggests, the village of Kilmurry is also included.
The map defining the local Community Games area is registered at County and National level, and competitors who reside outside the area are not permitted to participate in competition representing the area. Unfortunately this can result in difficulties, but we must abide by the rules, not least because children are only insured if all rules are followed.
