Upcoming Events

  • Art and Model Making County Finals are in Ennis on Sat 11th Feb.
  • Family Registration is now due. Registration is Eur 10 per child or Eur 20 per family.This covers insurance and County/Munster competition entry fees for the season. Please contact any member of the community for a form or Download Information pack and Registration here and return with payment to any member of committee.
  • The Handwriting County Final are in Tulla on Sat 4th Feb.
  • Draughts Training for U10, U12 and U14 boys/girls will be 7:30 to 8:30 fo remainder of Jan.The County competition takes place in Tulla on Sat 25th Feb.
  • Area Meeting Thurs 9th Feb @ 8pm in Parish Hall.
  • The U15 Girls team are competing in the County Indoor Soccer event on 21 Jan in Corofin.

  • For results of the Art, Model Making and Handwriting, please visit our page on the Clare Community Games website.
  • The U15 Girls Indoor Soccer team secured 2nd place and silver medals in the County competition in Cororin on 21st Jan. They were narrowly beaten by Ennis in the final.
Community Games 2012

Indoor Soccer

Well done to the U13 Boys and Girls and the U15 Boys who took part in the recent County Indoor Soccer Competition. The Girls were narrowly beaten in the final by Ennis.

National Area Awards 2011

Sixmilebridge/Kilmurry were well represented at the National Area Awards Ceremony in Ballinasloe on Sat 19th November. Thanks to all the hard work from all those involved in Community Games in the area (co-ordinators, trainers and especially all the children who participated), Sixmilebridge/Kilmurry won back the Munster Most Involved Area Trophy, last won by the area in 2008. Rose Meakins and Sean Stack, also from Sixmilebridge area, were presented with the Clare Adult & Youth Volunteer awards. Kevin O'Loughlin was MC for part of the evening.

Keep Clare Clean Competition

Well done to all those who took part in the Keep Clare Clean Competition, sponsored by Shannon Development and Clare County Council. Top two entries from each category will be submitted to County Finals on 2nd Dec in Ennis.

Clare Community Games All-Stars

Well done to the Clare Community Games All Stars from Sixmilebridge-Kilmurry: Paul Hamilton (Model Making), Rachel Kelly (Futsal), Sam Hamilton & Aoife Hurley (Project), Gavin Fawl & Jason Loughnane (Rounders), Michael Fitzgerald (Talent), James Connor & Claire Corbett (Variety). Please see Clare Community Games website for details of photos (Fri 23rd Sept) and All Stars Dance (Fri 21 Oct). The Variety team will be providing entertainment at the All Stars Dance.

Sixmilebridge-Kilmurry Area were also presented with the County Police Association Cup for the Most Involved Area for 2011, so well done to all those involved in Community Games in SIxmilebridge-Kilmurry Parish.
